nanoOne Development Roadmap: From Functional Prototype to Production
nanoOne® is currently in functional prototype engineering and validation. The purpose of this roadmap is to show, clearly and responsibly, what has been completed, what is being tested now, and what must happen before production.
Current stage
The current work focuses on the mechanical drive system, coordinated brush motion, full-arch fit, electronics architecture and dock-based charging. Core rotational brushing has been demonstrated in working prototypes, while repeatability, durability, comfort and production feasibility remain under validation.
Milestone 1: Functional prototype validation
The team is refining the complete mechanical system and documenting repeatable operation. This phase includes drive-train behavior, brush-module motion, fit geometry, water-resistance targets, power delivery and safe device activation.
Milestone 2: Engineering refinement
After the functional architecture is validated, the design will be simplified and optimized for reliability, assembly, hygiene, serviceability and cost. Specifications shown during development remain subject to change.
Milestone 3: Design for manufacturing
Production-intent CAD, component selection, assembly methods, tooling requirements, quality controls and compliance planning will be finalized with manufacturing and engineering partners.
Milestone 4: Pilot build and validation
Pilot units will be used for mechanical, electrical, fit, comfort, ingress-protection and durability testing. Final performance claims will only be communicated after repeatable testing of the production-intent design.
Kickstarter timing
Kickstarter launch timing will be announced following completion of the current prototype-validation milestone. Joining early access provides official development updates and the launch notification.
